Itinerary Details

  • Upon landing in Guatemala City, you'll be escorted to a charming boutique hotel in Antigua. After settling in, we'll gather for a rooftop sunset drink with a panoramic view of three volcanoes.

Following that, we'll enjoy a welcome dinner at a nearby restaurant, savoring locally-sourced cuisine on a tropical patio. Then, we'll stroll back through the cobblestone streets for a good night's rest before our first full day together.

  • The following morning, after breakfast, we’ll head to the Luna Zorro Studio, located on a 150-year-old coffee farm just outside the city. You’ll be guided by two master weavers in a hands-on floor loom workshop where you’ll create your own woven piece.

We’ll break for a farm-to-table lunch with Wild Daughter, our neighbor on the coffee estate, and return in the afternoon for a natural dye workshop. Using plants and other organic ingredients, you’ll bring your handwoven piece to life with color.

That evening, you’ll be free to explore Antigua at your own pace—we’ll share a curated guide to our favorite local spots, from wine bars to artisan boutiques.

  • We’ll start the day with a private visit to a third-generation-owned boutique and museum that houses an extraordinary collection of antique Guatemalan textiles.

For lunch, we’ll head to the lush grounds of Caoba Farms, a sustainable local gem, and the afternoon will be yours to enjoy. Wander the cobblestone streets, sip a slow coffee, or simply take in the atmosphere.

In the early evening, we’ll come together for a lively cooking class to prepare traditional dishes like Pepián, tamales, and hand-formed corn tortillas.

  • The next morning, we’ll take a day trip to Chichicastenango, home to one of the most iconic markets in Central America.

This bustling, colorful town is known for its vintage textiles, artisan jewelry, and antique ceramics. It’s a collector’s paradise and a cultural treasure.

We’ll return to Antigua for our final dinner together at a beloved local restaurant—casual, joyful, and full of heart.

  • On our last morning, we’ll gather for a rooftop breakfast to watch the sun rise one last time over the volcanoes before heading to Guatemala City Airport.

You’ll leave with handmade treasures, deep inspiration, and memories that will stay with you long after you return home.

Additional Information

  • The best suited traveler for our trips is someone who enjoys both luxury and authenticity, attention to detail and also the thrill of the unexpected. Someone who is a little more adventurous and self-sufficient who will make the trip their own, outside of the unique itinerary we build and guide you along. We provide blocks of free time so you have the flexibility to explore the destination your way because we understand that everyone is different.

  • This curated trip is considered a boutique travel experience. Not super high end luxury, but definitely not budget travel. We care deeply about how we invest in tourism and aim to work with hotels, restaurant and partners who have a positive social impact and a true understanding of how to take care of clients. We set high expectations for hospitality and how we can support our clients to have a deeply authentic, thoughtful, safe and fun trip. We love great style and design but we also get excited about off-the-beaten-path experiences that are super unique and which aren’t always perfectly polished or cookie cutter.

  • La Aurora Airport, Guatemala City.
Most US cities will have a two leg flight that connects first through LA, Houston, Atlanta, or Miami before the next leg to Guatemala City.
For reference, Guatemala City is a 2.5 hour flight from Miami and 4.5 hours from Los Angeles.
The drive from La Aurora Airport to Antigua is approximately 1.5 hours.

  • Luna Zorro does not handle or purchase flights and is unable to make changes to traveler itineraries before and after the scheduled trip dates. That said, we wil be responsible for all details of your itinerary the moment you land in Mexico City, starting with a private pick up at the airport.

  • We always encourage our travelers to add on a few days before or after the trip to experience more of the region. Please let us know if you plan to extend your adventures and we can offer some suggestions of activities or places to stay that won’t be on our itinerary.

  • We want to ensure that everyone on our trips is safe, and will able to keep up with the active itinerary. By signing up for any of our trips, you agree to and understand that a certain level of physical fitness is required to safely participate in this itinerary.
